and the prunes won. So messy! Got to love independent feeding. :)

Because it's icky out
It's so cold and, yes, snowy here today that I needed to post some of our warmer weather pictures from the past few weeks. We've been going on walks almost everyday and yesterday we did it in the 35 degree weather and I think Henry thought I was a little crazy. :) I was in denial of the cold that had returned. So here's some pictures from before the cold returned, to remind me of the fun that will return. :)
We figured out how to use my baby wrap to put Henry on my back. He's so big now that it's really hard to walk with him in front now and I don't think he likes it as much either. But he loved being on my back and actually fell asleep the first time we did it.
We also put Henry in the swing for the first time at the park a few weeks ago! It was short lived, but he did like it for a couple of minutes and then I think he was anxious to crawl around. Can't keep him contained in one spot for too long. He's on the move!
See those teeth?! He's got 4 and soon to be 6. Steak here I come!
Well here's hoping for more 60s in the future. At least we have winter clothes so we can get out and walk despite the frigid temps. Henry looks adorable in his snow suit anyway! :)

9 month pictures!

As always, Tamika did a wonderful job at getting so many of Henry's typical faces and activities! You can look at all of them by going here:
Click on "Client"
password: Henry (it's case sensitive, so make sure you do a capital "H")
Once I get the CD I'll upload them onto Snapfish and then I'll get pictures for anyone that wants one.
Henry's doctor's visit went well. He's 20 pounds and 6 ounces and is 28 1/2 inches (about 50% for everything). We go again at a year.
He's cutting 2 of his top teeth right now (the ones next to the 2 big top ones) and we've got sleeplessness going on here again. Man, I love new teeth. :) I have a feeling he hates it more though. :)
Hope everyone is enjoying warm weather!

... spring is sure to follow.
No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. -- Proverb
Really?! Cause I'm starting to doubt it! :) This winter has gone on for too long. In protest, I started to think about what to plant this summer in our garden and even bought onions and asparagus. Now I just have to wait till July till our last frost. :)
Things here are good. Henry's getting ever bigger. Now creeping along things and 2 more teeth have come in -- the front two. His smile just keeps getting cuter and cuter. We got 9 month pictures taken yesterday and he was so adorable the whole time Tamika was here shooting. I think we'll have some pretty cute ones. I'll post them once she gives them to me. We also go to the doctor today for his 9 month check up. No shots this time, which is so nice. I'm interested to see where he plots out cause he's such a skinny thing.
His favorite toys right now are measuring cups, balls and an empty gallon plastic jug of water (Daniel calls it it his moonshine). :) He's super curious about almost anything. He played with a paper bag for about 30 minutes the other day. I would say he's a pretty somber, serious baby, but he'll smile and laugh if you get him going.

That's about all here. I'll put his stats from his doctor's appointment up when I get them today. Let's all keep hoping for spring! They say we'll have 50 degree days here soon!

Who needs sleep?

Henry's upper two teeth are reeking some serious havoc on this household. :) He was up last night at 1am and 5am and at 5am he didn't want to go back to bed. Cried and cried. Daniel worked last night so this mama has not slept much. He's normally such a rock solid sleeper (7p to 7a), so I think that's why this is so notable. I should probably count myself lucky that this isn't the norm, but I'll count myself even luckier once these teeth come down and we can have smiles and SLEEP. :)
More soon!

Fine motor control
Henry ate bananas with lunch and I had them in small pieces so he could practice his fine motor control (picking them up with his fingers and putting them into his mouth). After I cleaned him up I looked under his chair to clean up with floor. Let's just say, he has a little bit of work to do still on his fine motor skills! :) Then I fed him a little more at dinner cause I think he got about 2 pieces of banana actually in his mouth at lunch. Made me smile and thought I'd share.
