Snow, snow, go away...

We had those few warm days that made us realize how much we were missing the warm weather and then another blizzard that dumped almost 2 feet of snow. But as much as I'm ready for summer, it was fun to get out in the snow in the backyard with Henry one more time. We tried to take a picture of how deep the snow really is, but it's so packed down that we couldn't even get to the bottom of it! But it's definitely deeper than Henry is tall and he's 27+ inches, so that's A LOT of snow. Too much. We're ready for the thaw now and lots and lots of sunshine.

And in other news, Henry's officially a crawler now! I keep trying to get a good video that we can upload onto the website, but I haven't gotten one yet. Tomorrow I'll try again. It's pretty cute watching him. He's only fallen once -- he was crawling in the kitchen and his pants were making it quite slippery for him; he fell face first (well, really, lip first). Otherwise he's been cruising without problem. I'll get video to post soon. Oh, and I'll put in a request for summer. :)

More soon!

Mommy says I have to nap right now, but I'll write more tonight or tomorrow and show you all the snow we got! There are drifts in the backyard that are taller than me! Love, Henry

Eight months old

A day late, but here's some eight month pictures. Looking back at baby pictures the other day and can't believe how much he's grown just in the past few months. Took this picture just before he ate dinner tonight. It struck me how much he looks like a little boy instead of a baby.

He's still not crawling, but he still looks like he's just about to. He gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth, even picks up a hand and places it in front of him, but then down he goes, most of the times on his face. He likes to balance on his side a lot and lay on his belly with his arms propped underneath him. I especially love his profile. That sweet little nose couldn't be any cuter. :)

We had a 48 degree day here -- who can complain about that?! And tomorrow is going to be 50 for the high! I took Henry for a walk today in his wrap with my coat over us and I don't know who was more excited about finally getting out in the sunshine. It felt great and I'm really hoping that we're done with the below zero temps cause I'm over it. :)
